D'Boyz was shot in the summer of 1999 over a variety of locations throughout Kilkenny, by a completely under-18 film crew. Recently, D'Boyz has featured several clips on RTE's 'Blizzard Of Odd'. In the beginning talking to God was kinda cool. Maybe talking to God in your toilet was kinda strange. But, hey, when God tells you to leave school and start a punk band, what's a guy to do? After all, this is God, right? Anyway, young Ratbanks and his friends decide to take a chance that God actually knows what he's talking about. What they didn't know was that loan sharks, girl bands, black puddings and tumbleweeds would all stand between them and their quest for punk stardom. D'BOYZ is a comedy so off the wall and out of control that only God can make sense of it! The screenplay was written by 15 year old Conal McLoughlin who also plays the leading character Ratbanks. Starring local young people and adults D'BOYS was shot over three weeks in Kilkenny City, Ireland, by an all under 18 film crew using digital video cameras and editing equipment.
