SUCKERS and was directed by John Doran and Chris Slack from a script by John Morton. It was our biggest, messiest, most ambitious production yet.
It tells the tale of a bunch of 7 random students who for a variety of reasons are serving detention at 4 o’clock on a rainy miserable Monday afternoon in February. However, during the detention a commotion breaks out in the school. Screams, wailing, breaking and smashing can be heard. Mr. Finch, the nervous teacher supervising detention leaves the class to uncover what the furore is all about. The students wait for him to return until…. silence. The entire school goes quiet. The students are unsure what to do until they notice blood dripping under the classroom door. In a group, they decide to venture outside to figure out what has happened. As they make their way around the school they discover a room piled high with the ravaged bodies of other school mates. Making a break for the nearest exit they discover that the school has been boarded up from the inside. No teachers can be seen. These seven students are forced to join together and concede that maybe, just maybe, a whole lot of vampires have laid siege to their school….
