Young Irish Film Makers

Dreamstuff Youth Theatre is the theatre production arm of Young Irish Film Makers which runs ongoing drama workshops and stages two large cast productions every year in the Watergate Theatre.

Since its creation Dreamstuff has staged sixteen large cast productions (including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Shaughraun, The Colleen Bawn, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and our latest production – Monty Python’s Life of Brian) in the Watergate Theatre, in lovely downtown Kilkenny.

Drama Workshops are held one a week in our studios on the Waterford Road. Junior Drama for 9-12 year olds on Tuesdays 4-6pm and Senior Drama for 13-18 year olds on Wednesdays 4:30 to 6:30pm. Workshops start up again on the week beginning Monday 12th January 2009.

In June 2009 we will be staging a Shakespeare week-end festival in Rothe House which will involve all our drama workshop members.
